Aquatic Plants of Florida (APF), founded in 1994, is one of the industry’s earliest providers of wholesale native plants and trees. The Company specializes in providing customers in the Southeastern US and the Caribbean with fresh water herbaceous plants, ferns, native grasses, salt tolerant plants, shrubs, trees and wildflowers.
APF maintains a 30-acre aquatic plant farm and nursery, and offsite land and growing facilities. Also, APF has secured through contracts and permits thousands of acres of wetlands for plant and seed harvesting. APF specializes in propagation from seed (www.seedclean.com), cuttings and division. Facilities at the APF farm include field offices, pole barns, shade houses, greenhouses and misting houses.
APF is the largest grower of sea oats in Florida and provides facilities for contract growing fresh water, wetland and salt-tolerant plants. The native plants grown at APF's farm are guaranteed to meet permit compliance. APF provides installation services for mitigation and habitat restoration. The Company stores hundreds of pounds of cached seed for on-demand inventory needs.
