Intern – Sarasota, FL
AQUATIC PLANTS OF FLORIDA, INC., grower and wholesale vendor of native Florida plant species used in beach and wetland restoration, is seeking a PART TIME SEED ASSISTANT to support the company's seed collection efforts for the fall 2008 season.
APF seeks a person, ideally a student, who can be available for a flexible, varied schedule on weekday afternoons, when needed (15 hours per week average). The applicant would report to the seed cleaning facility located at APF's corporate headquarters in Sarasota. Applicant must have driver's license and transportation to/from work, and must have no physical restrictions for lifting and carrying heavy objects.
RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE: packaging, labeling and tagging seed in custom packages; organizing, moving and placing seed into storage, assisting in the maintenance of a written seed inventory; and when needed, other tasks as assigned.
